Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (4/13 eps)
The art and animation is good. It's bright and very fitting for the setting for a slice of life genre anime. However that was all the appeal I could find for this anime.

There were elements in this anime that were poorly executed and just felt completely scripted rather giving a natural feeling. There was no clear foreshadowing and a lot of things that came off as a surprise were supposed to be obvious. Even the drama ruins it's own genre.

The characters felt emotionless, and no I'm not talking about the one or two stoic characters, the voice actors seemed to have almost no emotion when they talk in my opinion. They change their tones, but I feel nothing expressed through their voices until the characters are pushed to an extreme. The characters themselves can't be saved from their plain personalities. But then again, none of them were likable anyways so that doesn't matter.

The soundtrack is not great, but it's not noticeable. It's supposed to help reflect and build an atmosphere of a scene but fails miserably. From the opening I got that it was a happy feeling anime, but that sure isn't it. Most of the time it just falls silent and it just doesn't feel right.

All in all, Glasslip has been one of the most boring pieces I have ever seen. To summarize my thoughts - Stay the hell away because there are much better series to watch, as a result my final score is 6/10.
