BEWARE! THE AWESOMENESS OF THIS ANIME IS TOO ADDICTING! YOU WERE WARNED!!!

The anime follows the exploits of Shirahama Kenichi; your average student who's always bullied (thus earning him the nickname "Weak legs"). One fateful day, he meets Furinji Miu (a fellow student) who helps him overcome his fears and he begins training at the Ryouzanpaku Dojo under six exceptional martial artists.....

Every episode will have you dying from fits of laughter; the gags aren't overused hence they never get old. The action and fight scenes aren't over-the-top (just the right amount of reality + unbelievable). Art style is pretty good, sounds used suit the situations and convey the feelings the animation's staff want to portray and a great storyline that won't leave you confused.
In my view, the anime's strength lies in its characters and their development: varied, easy to relate to, humorous, interesting past etc. The makers paid close attention to these aspects (especially Niijima........I loved how they introduced him as an annoying pest and somehow managed to transform him into one of the funniest, likeable characters in the show).

Downsides? Only a few: Odin's reason for fighting was absolute trash in my opinion. Sadly Kenichi and Miu's relationship never progresses past friends. Why did this anime have to end at episode 50? This aired in 06-07 and it definitely deserves A LOT more seasons. For those who cannot get enough of it, it continues at chapter 144 in the magna. I definitely recommend picking it up.

All in all, it is shounen, martial arts masterpiece.
It will grab you from the first episode and not let go; quickly getting you hooked........when it is over, you will definitely be craving for more...
