Nana (Anime) add (All reviews)
Jul 25, 2014
I watched this when it first debut and at the time, there really wasn't anything like it.

Nana has beautiful art. The tone and mood of the series is very successful, you find yourself emotionally drawn into the story and the characters. I watched it only one time and still remember it. I never re-watched it because honestly, it became sort of tedious. If Nana was categorized into American television genres it would be a "soap opera" mixed with "teen drama" you know the kind where the teenage daughter of a multimillionaire gets pregnant from a boy who is going to become a professional baseball player but it turns out he's an illegal immigrant whose dad slept with his half-sister (obviously not the premises of Nana, but you get the kind of ridiculous situations and setting I mean). As the story goes on, the situations that occur and the actions some characters do become so unbelievability ridiculous and dramatic. Despite that, it is still good enough to give a chance.
