Before I start watching H2O: Footprints in the Sand I came here, to myanimelist, and read a few reviews about this anime and many of those reviews said this anime has a similiar story to Clannad/Clannad After Story, so as a huge fan of Clannad, I decided to start watching this anime and after I was done I had to think a lot before writing my review, since I really didn't know what to feel after watching it...
It's true what they said about it being similiar to Clannad but It's not even close to Clannad's level, at the begining the anime was going well, the characters relationship was evolving well but in the end it didn't have the same effect as Clannad. why?
Well the reason is simple, since this anime is only has 12 episodes we just couldn't build that tie with the characters like we did with Clannad, they rushed things like if they wanted to finish it earlier.
If you watched Clannad I'll give you a quick point of view of how this animes goes, imagine that you watched the first 10 episodes of Clannad and then you jumped right to final 6 episodes of Clannad After Story. Would your reacion be the same as it was when you finished watching the whole anime?
Attettion I'm not saying that H20 is a bad anime, I enjoyed it! I just think they could have done a way better job with it.
