"Those who fire should be prepared to be fired at."

After the first season, we were left with a cliff hanger with Lelouch and Suzaku both firing at each other at the same time. Who won? Where is Nunally? and Who is this V.V? Unfortunately nothing was revealed after that.

Luckily our prayers were answered and now Lelouch is back for a second round. Why is he alive? Does that mean Suzaku died? All these are quickly explained at the beginning of the second season. The main plot is briefly told in narrative style. Following it explains how Lelouch has ever been since and new characters were quickly introduced. As a result, R2 is more jam packed with political crash and action compared to the first season and strived not to waste any time.

The plot is basically a political battle with a combination of mecha. The art is again superb courtesy of clamp. The OP songs are upbeat and the ED themes match perfectly.

Fans can now enjoy another thrilling ride of action and power struggling series. Who will be the victor at the end? Will everything end in peace? Will C.C. ever escape her immortality? There's only one way to find out! Hopefully, this is a satisfying closure for this well-planned masterpiece.

I'll give it a 10.
