No Game No Life is a show that's good, but definitely one that is over-hyped. Since other reviews and the synopsis pretty much covers the premise of the show, I'll go straight into my opinion of the show. If you're too lazy to read, go to the TL;DR section at the bottom.

Story: 8/10
The story of the show is based around characters being transported into a gamer's world. It's not a super unique theme, so there's nothing special about that. However what makes it a bit more unique than other shows, is that instead of being stuck in a giant game where you battle your way out and what not, they're stuck in a world where any conflict between people is dealt with games of their choice (and they enjoy it/want to conquer it). This gives it the interesting aspect of, what games will be played, how will they use that to their advantage, and how will they win. The main characters slowly get a feel of their new world, and conquer the world step by step. I give the story 8/10, because I feel the plot of conquering every race felt a bit rushed/simply done and because the show felt fan service-y and pointless at times (even if it was used for comedic purposes). It definitely shows it's "ecchi" theme.

Art: 7/10
The anime had good animation. It is on par with any well drawn anime of it's time. However, the reason why I won't give it above a 7 , is because I personally did not find the art of the show to be outstanding. It was nothing exceptional that will awe the viewer or anything that was memorable (in terms of quality/style/coloring/etc). The show was colorful, the characters were pretty, and the animation was not sloppy; but there was nothing jaw dropping about it or anything that goes above and beyond, so I would give it a solid 7/10.

Sound: 7/10
Just like the art of the show, I found nothing particularly special about the sound of the show. The voice acting was as good as any other show (without any annoying voices). The OP/ED songs weren't bad, but nothing I particularly found special or memorable. The BGM of the show was definitely the best part of the "sound" category. The music in the background definitely fits the scenes and helps draw the attention of the viewers by getting them into the mood of the scenes.

Character: 10/10
Here is what pretty much makes the show watching. The two main protagonists of the show, Sora and Shiro, are pretty much gaming gods. I feel as if the main reason this show did so well is because of the way Sora and Shiro tackle and come out on top in all of the games they play. The way they play and their thought process is what you would consider "epic" or genius (even though it's just a show and some of it feels like main character plot armor). It is definitely fun watching them do their thing. Main characters aside, the side characters are there for the use of Sora and Shiro and for comedic/harem purposes.(Not to mention the fan base's love for Jibril). Even though the character development is nothing special, the characters itself in this show, makes me give this portion a 10/10.

Enjoyment: 9/10
Story/art/sound aside, I enjoyed this show like the rest of the population that watched and enjoyed it. The games and how they were won was entertaining and mildly mind blowing. -1 for the story/art/sound, but still 9/10 because it's definitely a show worth watching and something enjoyable.

TL;DR
Overall: 8/10
The show is good overall. A show with a solid story/art/sound, but nothing overly spectacular (definitely over-hyped by the population of viewers), but the characters are entertaining and make the show worthwhile. Over-hype aside, this show is fun and enjoyable to watch (just don't expect TOO much because of everyone over-hyping the show; might ruin your experience by not meeting your expectations).
