Story 10/10: Its story is unique and absolutely fantastic. It flows perfectly with virtually no flaws. All you need to know is it set in a far future when there are more than just “humans”.
Character 10/10: Its theme is “coming of age” so … characters are well made. You see the world through theirs’ eyes and feel what they feel. You may get too connected to the characters that you will feel depressed when bad things happen. It is the only anime that was able to do it to me (on par with very famous novels and movies).
Art 10/10: it’s an imaginary world, but it looks so real !! The sceneries evoke emotions.
Sound 10/10: Great and dead on sound effects. It will get you from time to time.
Enjoyment 9/10: *SPOILER* “9” because I was sad most of the time and depressed at the end of the series. I needed a bit of stress relief.
Overall 10/10: It is no doubt one of the best anime. We need more animes like this.
