At first i was a little put off by the fact that there were 103 episodes, im used to the shorter anime's that range between 12-25 episodes, however by the time i was half way through it i was hooked well enough to continue on the long journey. I did feel like alot of the things though, were dragged out, like why should fighting the Noah or the level 3 or 4 demons be like, 5 episodes long. I feel like they coulda pushed it down to two maybe three and it would have been enough, like we get it, its an epic battle.. now lets get back to the story.

I also feel like the journey for cross was dragged on a little to long as well, i remembering thinking to myself "can they just find him already and move on with it?" but that was just a minor issue.

The characters themselves were easily likeable and the story-line was intriguing - however in my head i decided to ship Lavi & Lenalee together even though i knew it would never happen.

I havent read the manga yet so i dont quite know how it ends for real but im left a little disappointed with the ending as they built it up so much and yet.. like miost animes failed to close the series properly. My BIGGEST pet peeve is when they introduce a bunch of new things and leave you hanging - fuck you cliffhanger i hate you. However i've seen worse endings and i suppose they did a fair enough job at ending it since it was already so long and it probably would have gone on forever if they didnt eventually close it off.
