Fairy Tail is one of the few successful shounen modern day anime.
Story
Despite being a decent anime it lacks a depth in its plot. Set in a fantasy Magical realm Shows starting is decent where it introduces various characters like Natsu Lucy Grey and others through several episodes but soon looses its plot ( Natsu's search for dragon named Igneel)....story advances but never focuses on this aspect. New enemies arrive and the Main characters have to deal with it. They are on the verge of defeat and suddenly get powerful because of the power of nakama...( Which feels dull ) but as a magical action anime it has done a commendable job
More often than not Plot revolves around the past of main characters
The most interesting concept of the series are its dragon slayers and the mystery behind them and there dragons.
Art
Art is okey.......the backgrounds are static that takes the sheen from its fantasy outlook. It has more of a cartoonish look than a regular anime look. Animation quality is decent.
Sound
Voice actors are good....those of Natsu Lucy jelal and mystogan have done good job...Ost are descent so are the background music played during fights.
Characters
What has kept this series on the top with several other shounen are the no of characters. Character designs are good and are easily recognisable. Characters are unique. Characters from previous arcs are present in new arcs with different roles....But the negative point is that the potential of other Characters isn't fully brought out by the writer.....
