It pains my heart to notice that one of my favorite anime gets criticized badly for showing episodes that seem "boring" or "mediocre", specifically the infamous ( endless eight). To be quite honest these episodes are rather amazing in my opinion just because it would take some guts to do something like that knowing that they may get criticized for it badly. I admire the "endless eight arc" just because the writers wanted the audience to feel how Yuki Nagato felt, just imagine watching those eight episodes over over again was already frustrating but imagine doing it thousands of times and you cant do anything about it.
Story : The Story was actually amazing in my own opinion but believe me the "endless eight arc" will shine its glory if you watch the movie; The disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya. Other than that the story was quite impressive even though people describe it as " a waste of time " and " irritating".
Art & Sound: The Art and Sound is okay it matches the feelings of the characters in the "spur of the moment"
Character: The Characters are amazing and really enjoyable just think about it a bossy chick who thinks differently than any other human, an ordinary teenage boy who keeps the "gang together" despite his anti-social attitude, a shy and timid but hot time traveler , a rich esper who admires almost everyone for some reason and a silent bookworm who was actually a badass alien, what more could you ask for?
Enjoyment & Overall: I love this anime because of its unpredictability (especially in terms of the script of its writers). Its not your average sci-fi , mystery , school life story rather if you think about it it really has a deep sense into it. Just a piece of advice if you manage to watched the whole series without skipping, YES WITHOUT SKIPPING any episodes I advice you to watch the movie just because it will help you appreciate the value of the series more and its build up especially in the second season.
