I'm not going to write a synopsis, I'll just briefly comment on what it's like so you can decide if you should watch this or not.

So, how can I describe Claymore... it is something like "Cthulhu vs. Girls with huge swords".

As you'll probably have guessed, it's the same as having "Wolves vs. White, fluffy bunnies". I mean, the girls die, and they die so horribly you can't help but wonder what sort of twisted, sadistic mind could ever spawn such a concept and then decide to share it with the rest of us.

There is so much violence! No, really, I just can't express how absurdly violent this thing is. A "cruel" kind of violent, I guess. For instance, you spend 5 episodes getting to know a character, her feelings, what she likes for breakfast, etc. and suddenly BOOM! She's dead, just like that.

Then you go "OMG WTF?!", as though one of your closest friends had been hit by a truck. Then, after the shock, you remember the chances of things ending well were pretty close to zero, anyway. In the last few episodes, the message is something like "abandon all hope" - but when it is finally over, you are left with the feeling that, all in all, it's a pretty good anime, if you can handle the gore.
