Reality is a bad game, even though our generous God made it for us, but still, even God knows that the world is imperfect. Everything is imperfect, even us humans, there is imperfection in us. But the opposite of everything imperfect is the 'Ideal'. Ideals are the vast imaginations of a being that thinks that is the perfect one, such as movies, anime, games and etc.

Keima Katsuragi is the protagonist of this anime and the most developed character. He is the smart one and the galge gamer in his class by his way holding the PFP, cool in a way; but this is his way to deny the real world and live in the gaming world when he is out of his room. Keima's ideal is that the girls of his games are supposed to be in reality. But in fact, the world is imperfect.

Elsie is the deuratagonist of this anime, the one who interrupted from Keima to do something for the real world and Keima's little sister, even though he's pissed off because of her actions that made her 'an illegitimate sister'.

Ayumi Takahara, Mio Aoyama, Kanon Nakagawa and Shiori Shiomiya are the hosts of the loose souls, very different and has her own distinct. Ayumi, a track and field runner; Mio, a rich daughter whose lifestyle is rich; Kanon, a convenient star; And Shiori, a bibliophile. Very different parameters, a very good factor of that even them can be a 2-D character in most galge games.

This story has a very interesting hysteria behind its dramatic scenes, even Keima just act for the sake of the girls. The impact of Elsie on the first episode, a sudden event of having loose souls being escaped to the whole world, just very splendid. Even the sound and music, english translations of songs about love, just made this anime an ideal of romance.

Even this anime is a excellent one, a perfect anime must have issues. My issue of Elsie. Yes, she does cooperate at most times, but she never helps Keima of having the loose souls out of the hosts (Except on Rieko's conquest, but that's on the manga). The partner should help the leader, well, I think that partnership is not mostly applied to that.

I was surprised that the first season is finished, seems kinda short (well it is anime) but it is a long journey, I strongly recommend this for most otakus who love romance.
