for this particular anime there have bin many who find it to be a failed remake of sword art online,most of which have never watched an episode, it has the same concept behind the story line but is in far more depth than that of sao don't get me wrong sao is amazing but in its own way. this takes on a more intellectual perspective in many regards with both the story and fighting, its a more team based anime with the bigger picture in mind instead of a straight up one way goal.
log horizon is constantly trying to keep the viewers on there feet with sharp wits and deception behind every plot. the anime is very diverse and wide ranged in all aspects such as the races, buildings and dignitaries, overall the anime is visually unique in the way where much in the surroundings are very modern but degraded again keeping u on your feet and curious. this anime as a whole is very unique with a simple concept behind it but with enough depth to keep u both attached and interested in the story and characters it doesn't so much focus on one individual character but more as the group as a whole and gets u more attached to each individual character i would highly recommend it to those who enjoyed sao but thought it to childish or to those who simply enjoy some serious depth.
