This series expresses love in the more mature sense to me. Not the highschooler type of love but that type of love a person experiences after highschool when they have a better understanding of what kind of person they are and more open about their feeling. People tie this series closely to Toradora which was one of my favorite series for a long time (was my #3) but this series replaced it and was better in many ways to me.

Pros-
realistic and mature characters.
Great plot that covers many love related topics
Has many funny moments
Is emotionally relatable (to a certain age group I'm sure)

Cons-
Fast pace for 24 episodes

The topic of love is what really made me love this series. Since I can't give spoilers I'll have to be vague about which specific topics of love I really enjoyed about this series. The topic of getting over past feelings was mentioned and, from my own experiences, this series got the emotion, reactions, and behavior of that feeling down absolutely perfect (from the perspective of someone who is out of highschool). They also brought up one-sided type of love and this too was portrayed perfectly in many aspects. The topic of getting rejected and dealing with the person mutually was also done very well. Based off of my personal experiences in life and them being very similar (some almost exact) to the characters situations in the story, I can say that the way the characters felt with situations and acted was realistic to the point that I loved this series by the 6th episode and by the end it had topped all expectations and over the fast pace story that I though was an issue.

Now what makes this story so great and unique is that it portrays love in a more mature sense. The characters are in college and thus act like college students for the most part. What does this mean? Well simply put they're honest with their feeling and don't hesistate like in many characters in high school series do in many cases. Me being a college student myself, I related to each of them on different levels. When you get to a certain age love isnt as hard to talk about or express. The characters in this series show this at what i felt was a very realistic way. They speak how they feel at times but still being young try to cover them up at times too. each character is also unique in their own way. Yes Koko may remind you of an obsessive character (not going to name any) she doesn't go extreme like many in other animes have. She knowns her limits and is well aware of herself which made her a very unique character to me. The other characters too like Tada and Linda are also very well created and thought out to the point they don't fit most molds and are quite realistic. The characters in this series truly are the strong point that make it so great.

The plot of the story is also very good. It revolves around Tara Banri and Kaga Kouko along with all their other friends and the topic of love and social interaction in general. I'll admit, the story does move pretty quickly and for even 24 episode it felt like it was going at a very fast pace. While this is true, paying attention to what is happening and how it is affecting the characters you can see that the pace fits them and their situation quite well. One thing that I really loved about the series was how it could transition from a serious topic to every laughing and joking very well without it feeling out of place or akward.

The art style was very good and it fit the mood of the story very well all the time. The music also was well thought out. In most cases I skip opening and closing but with this series the second opening and closing put me in the right mood to watch.

Overall, this series became on of my favorites because of the characters. They are very relatable in how they treated their emotions and how they were as people. They changed over the story and in many good ways. That's what I loved about it. So if you're interested in seeing love outside of the highschool type where it's akward, people are embarrassed to admit it and confrontations are very hesitant for both sides, and instead want to watch something that shows slightly more mature love, I would highly recommend this.
