* CONTAINS SPOILERS*

So another "monogatarii" season has ended, and this anime is good, so I'm gonna fuck around and get down to business:

Story: Good 7.

What we have is a 26 episode anime, it still maintain the usual, mystery, supernatural and horror genre, it a couple of romance, harem and comedy on the sides. Even so, it was still good to be watched, however, just like the anime itself there are some episode that were a bit annoying especially when three of the episodes are merely summaries of what has transpired from from various seasons of the monogatari series, so technically this anime is only 23 episodes long. Also, it was nice that director Akiyuki Shinbo and Tomoyuki Itamura has reinvented this anime by dividing into a couple of mini series with various arc like; Tsubasa Tiger, Mayoi Jiangshi, Shinbou time, Nadeko Medusa which one might say was the longest one which the arc becomes a sub plot from the Hitagi end and of course the last arc Hitagi end. I limit this category to a seven since I cannot deny my frustration that studio Shaft has to include the 3 summaries and an additive for this anime, also I kinda feel bad that Koyomi has to reject Hanekawa's feelings for him.

Art and sound: Mediocre 5.

Since, it still uses the same art style from the previous monogatari season. and there isn't much of any intense fan service around either, also though there have been some changes with Hitagi and Hanekawa's hair style it was still minimal for me to comment about it. As for the sound, well voice actors and actress were still the same and for this anime's opening and closing, I guess neither like any of it nor do I like any of it as well.

Character: Good 7.

Since, this anime was a combination of 5 mini series, one cannot focus on one character alone so let go with each of them:

Araragi Koyomi: As usual he is still this knight in shinning armor kinda thing except that he's more of a weak-link, who is incapable to fighting and has to rely on Shinobu a lot, I guess one reason why I gave this category a 7, though he's good, he is is just isn't good enough and is even stupid for choosing the sadistic Hitagi over the mild manner Hanekawa in the Tsubasa tiger arc. I seems that studio Shaft put more emphasis on him to be with much younger cast that somehow show him being a lolicon.

Hanekawa Tsubasa: In the Tsubasa tiger arc, she did manage to use her curse very well against a spiritual white tiger, her character is some what a kind where one would sympathize her for all the bad things that were happening to her, I wish that she put up a fight for Koyomi's affection towards Hitagi, hey, she did tried to kill Koyomi with her cat alter ego, so why didn't she do it to Hitagi, frankly I kinda see her as a good girl for Koyomi, unfortunately, looks like Koyomi is a masochist and has a ting for a sadist like Hitagi.

Mayoi Hachikuji: In this anime we see her formal departure, let's not forget that she would have already departure to the afterlife, but decide to stay, in Shinobu time, it was basically made as a memorable theme for Mayoi, in fact the Shinobu time was pretty much connected to Mayoi and not on Shinobu, I guess this is one arc where studio Shaft has messed up.

Nadeko Sengoku: She is also one of the girls whom I wish that Koyomi would've had a relationship with, what I hate about her was being this snake goddess who still needs a lot of growing up, but I do find her yadere mode cute.

Shinobu Oshino: Frankly her role is a mediocre one since she still serves Kyomi's partner, despite of having her own arc, it was merely a sob plot for Mayoi Jiangshi finale, but it was really nice to know about her history and that's as good as her character is for this anime.

Deishū Kaiki- here we saw him in a whole new way, despite of being a scheming gold digger, he somehow played as this honorable man who would have accepted the 3 million yen to abandon his Nadeko con game, but he stayed on despite of Ougi's warnings. At the last episode of the Hitagi end, I kinda feel bad for him,that he was stabbed by someone presumably that one whom he had conned which is another reason for me to give this part a score of 7, but here's a spoiler...he appeared in Suruga Devil which may be one of the arcs of Hanamonogatari.

Enjoyment: Very Good 8.

I can only say it in two words: 'VERY GOOD!"

Overall: Good 7.

Well, it was very enjoyable and this reinvented anime could be consider a " GOOD ," I limit it to a seven since I cannot deny my disgust for studio Shaft's idea of having to add 3 recall summaries that should have never been aired and just go on with the rest of the episodes, tbh, those summary episodes are nothing more than useless additives , as I've mentioned before.

Now, on to "Hanamonogatari" I just hope it would be as good as this anime, The End.
