Yato is portrayed as a jersey-wearing young boy of about high school age, and so is his problems and mannerisms at first glance like any other high school boy, doing odd jobs for 5 yen is what he thinks will enable him to get followers and get him his own shrine someday. Despite all these appearances Yato’s character doesn’t seem to be as shallow as most protagonists’ are seen having a lot in these kind of comedy-centric anime...use to being a God of Calamity during the war Yato’s personality seems to be pretty dark as well as wise. The support characters Yukine, Yato’s shinki and a human girl named Hiyori----who seems to have gained a strange property after coming in contact with Yato, which further drags her into unlikely situations--- seems to have complemented the Stray-yet-fascinating-God’s characteristics well. Yukine’s character first portrayed and then developed along the progression of the series is really an eye-catching thing and Hiyori’s adventures in the medium of Gods despite being a normal girl is just the average requirement for attracting anime fans since its been done in different anime since a long time back...Special mention of Nora and Rabo can made here due to their contrasting personalities which is another plus point since it is the antagonists’ personalities which usually attract fans in most anime.

Summary: Anime made on God, there are a lot of them out there, good ones and the bad ones but the idea of using something like religion and giving it a twist for people of varying ages to enjoy, just doesn’t seem to die...so from that box came out yet another jack...the name being called Noragami. Basically the word Nora refers to Stray and Gami refers to God so the name stands something like Stray-God in English...the name itself is very innovative and strange yet seems to express a lot of things about this anime in just one word.... Overall through its animation and story-telling Noragami seems to have hit all the right marks. Bones seems to be back on track through it.... An anime with a mixture of supernatural yet attracting gimmicks for the ones who stays above these genres seems to be what Noragami is and it would probably end up in the list of one of the good oldies that foretold the development of anime in visual and aural aspects in the years to come...
