Gankutsuou has an impressive amount of amazing early 3D contraptions on par with Pixar animation. I especially liked the amazing 3D horse armour, the sun planet garnet on the counts house and also all the beautiful clocks this anime has. They are so futuristic that they can even measure yin and yang in the universe, which is pretty neat and a useful feature to have if you are a futuristic spaceman and want a clock to impress your friends and also to fit with your pink dress shirt. Overall I give the horse armour and clocks 8/10.
There are also a lot of dramatic and plot relevant fight scenes such as the fight about the true meaning of love in a pirate ship above a pool of sharks. I give the fight scenes 8/10.
