It stars a very human character named Kaiji who through a spin of events is backed into a corner and forced on a gambling cruse to free himself of debt. There are moments in this anime where I was gritting my teeth in anticipation of what was about to unfold.
The art may turn a few away but it hardly gives it away and I found myself fond of it late in the series. Some may find it funny but I got a very dark feel from it.
While the music is unmemorable it does well at striking a sense of emotion where it is needed.
All and all its a great anime I recommend everyone watch is only to experience something different.
