The World God Only Knows is about a high school boy who is a god of the gaming world (specifically dating sims) and repels reality. He one day unknowingly signs a contract with the demon world that requires him to get girls to fall in love with him to capture loose souls. This is ironic because Katsuragi has only ever captured the hearts of digital or 2-D girls.

There is no plot to be heavily invested in other than the overall premise. The plot focuses more on individual stories of the girls that Katsuragi encounters. These divided story lines reflect on real world themes and personal issues that a viewer can empathize with.

In regards to characters, I love them all, and they're all extremely entertaining but I feel as if the main protagonist could be developed a little more. The priority of character development goes to the numerous girls that Katsuragi has to captivate, therefore it doesn't leave much space for main character growth. Although saying that, the different story lines subtly reflect of Katsuragi's perspective of the real world.

The art is actually pretty high quality for an anime that doesn't really need intense animation at all. It's nice and appealing to watch and some scenes that diverge from reality are just beautiful.

As for the sound, I loved the full soundtrack. The opening was great, and the ending song was amazing as well. There's nothing I can really say except the music was phenomenal and fit in the with the anime extremely well.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed The World God Only Knows. It's something that's fun and interesting to watch, not something you have to become invested in. It's entertaining and funny due to the hilarious insights of the characters and their antics, but also in a way enthralling and emotional in its underlying personal issues and themes.
