"Time might separate us some day. But, even still, until then, let's stay together." -Hotaru Takegawa

(This is my first review)

Love is such a beautiful thing, isnt it? Hotarubi no Mori e is a mixture of romance, drama, and supernatural. I usually don't like to watch romance movies and always thought watching them was boring. But, Hotarubi no Mori e is an exception.

Story (9/10)

The story in Hotarubi no Mori e had a happy yet sorrowful feeling to it. This movie made me smile a lot, but also made me cry. Some may disagree with me, such as my friend, who didn't even show any emotion when we were watching it and just feel asleep. Hotarubi had many happy moments such as when Gin and Hotaru first met each other, and others. But the one moment that really made me smile was when they were playing tag. You thought I was going to say some thing else huh? You may be wondering, "Of all moments you choose when they were playing with each other as the best?". Well, its simple really, who wouldn't want to see a child and a masked man playing tag?

Art (10/10)

The graphics were amazing. The graphics had sort of a mixture with the older kind of anime style and the new kind of style. Although, I wouldn't say that Hotarubi has the best graphics I have ever seen.

Characters (10/10)

I am only including the main characters, Hotaru Takegawa and Gin. Hotaru, is the main female character in Hotarubi. She is a fun and energetic type of person and always wanted to see Gin everywhere she went. Gin, is the main male character. Gin is a quiet man who always wore a mask. "If I don't wear this mask, I wouldn't look like a spirit." -Gin
When he said that, it actually made me laugh.

Overall (10/10)

My overall rating for this anime has to be a 10/10, for its cheerful yet heart breaking story, and the gleeful characters. I absolutely enjoyed this movie.

(Note: Sorry this review was short. Like I said this is my first one.)
