Story 10: The story gets a 10 because it is the main reason this anime is so good. Other than all the blood, nudity, and violence (which I think is a main point in the anime being so good), you have a story about this main diclonius (Lucy/Nyuu) who breaks free and is not only having a battle with her good/evil side but with other humans and diclonius. The main focus of the whole story is her basically because she has an impact on most of the situations and characters.
Art 7: I like the are but it is a little laid back. Not much happening in the background art (moving trees..etc) but it was good.
Sound 9: Music was great and sound was too. Nothing too boring for my tastes.
Character 10: I think I like all the characters. Some were annoying including Nyuu (Lucy when not evil). But they all have some sort of connection which makes this story what it is and they are enjoyable.
Enjoyment 10: I really enjoyed Elfen Lied throughout the whole serious. At times it had me curious and that is how I like it rather than it being so predictable which kills my enjoyment sometimes.
Overall Elfen Lied gets a 9. It would have gotten a 10 if it wasn't for the ending (which is good but not good enough for me).
