Success!

FINALLY I have found my ideal shoujo princess!
Finally we come across a heroine who is in love with all things kawaii yet knows how to wallop a player's ass when she is harassed against her will!
Finally our strong female lead actually puts her combat skills to use and doesn't allow the school bully to take her roughly, but instead ties him up and threatens to embarrass him!
And finally, our heroine is in love with the shy, soft spoken boy rather than the flirtatious philanderer who is known to force girls to become "his" and is not entranced by his come hither glances or his brute force techniques!

So much to love in this story, where do I begin! We have Seri who is in love with kawaii and everything related to kawaii! This guarantees her affection for the timid Misaki-kun who is about to be swept off his feet by Seri who is careful to takes things slow, lest she scares the diffident chastity of Misaki! The lengths Seri goes to, to make Misaki hers are ridiculous! As are her defensive exploits when her plans are continuously foiled by the self proclaimed aristocratic Shin, who seeing Seri's repugnance towards him, vows to make her 'his'!

There is a HUGE amount of character development in this short story. Seri is and remains a strong sensible shoujo fixated on capturing her prince charming's heart. However, she is not averse to giving Oresama (Shin) a fighting chance if he sees it possible to dominate her. Let him try! Oresama starts at his player roots and progresses to behaving less and less uncouth around Seri who soon starts to wield the upper hand in their undefined relationship. She is receptive enough to pinpoint Shin's soft spot and exploits it for her own benefits. And Misaki kun, still shy, learns to work up enough nerve to finally get his feelings across. Check on the well chalked out characters!

Art is good... if you like cluttered scenes, not that any element is excessive, only that panels forgo clean elegance to express acute shojoudom replete with twinkling stars and roses aplenty. Characters themselves are all drawn very dashing with expressions so realistic; you might question your own face's degree of animation in everyday life! The mangaka's prowess is especially evident in the scenes whenever Shin needs to grudgingly concede victory to Seri, which is ever so often!

Dialogues are enjoyable, though nothing special. The overall storyline follows a novel plot wherein a smile sneakily finds its way onto your lips despite your best efforts when you see the heroine triumph in her efforts towards love despite her initial qualms and apparent obstacles set up by the villainous bishounen and the hero's reluctance in admitting he is indeed the game and not the hunter as he would have initially liked to believe.

It’s the minute attention to details in this plot that really make the story special. Misaki is a shy fellow, so he can’t be too upfront about his feeling; hence he resorts to a hesitant love letter. Seri is a fearless go-getter, so it’s almost expected that she will tote around a disposable camera in her pocket, ready to whip out and capture a precious “kawaii!” moment! And Shin prides himself on his sexual confidence and his ability to tame women, so of course he chooses the most non sexual of environments to be making his latest conquest, the library!

Definite definite definite must-read, one with high readability and skyrocketing feel good factor!
