Story- It's about this child named Sana Kurata that is a actress but still lives a normal life like going to school on a regular basics. Sana decided to transfer to a new class in her school but everything changes when it's been a week in her class. The Problem is Akito and is friends are wreaking havoc on the teachers and blackmailing them. If they do anything about it Akito will send the blackmail to everyone to see. Sana tries to come up with a plan to stop Akito but fails n the process but over comes a obstacle and figures out a way to stop Akito her plans succeed and Akito no longer is black mailing the teachers but we realize later he acts this way is something to do with his life. Sana helps Akito with his problem and he can't thank her enough for what she has done to make his life better. We realize after that, Akito is falling in love with Sana as each episodes pass. Sana is In love with her manger Rei but later realizes it wasn't worth it because he was in love with someone else in his high school days and Sana allows them to be together. Sana's mom is a famous Writer, that likes to wear kimono's and theses weird hats when she was younger she wanted to be normal but realized their was no such thing as being normal she is very smart, eccentric, wise but has a crazy personality like torturing her editor on the due date of her maual scripts. As the series progresses their is a lot of challenges that Sana has to face but in the end they work their way out some how. Also Since Sana no longer is in love with Rei she has problems understanding what love really is throughout most of the anime. Since Sana is so dense or oblivious she can't even figure out that Akito is in love with her and he proves it a few times and also shows jealously towards Naozumi Kamura or any guy that tries to flirt with Sana.
Also any time Sana needs to cry and needs someone to be their for her Akito said that to Sana so she can open up to him if something is going wrong in her life he truly cares for and she can't even notice it. Akito gets mad very easily and can't understand why all his friends can see that he's in love with Sana and doesn't understand why she is so dense and can't figure it out. Eventually Sana realizes her feelings for Akito when she was up in the mountains filming a movie with Naozumi and she finds out that Akito is dating someone. Sana becomes in a depressed state for about a week until her mom comes to see her and shows her how to take her mind off of it. When she comes back from home from filming she tries to keep her feelings bottled up inside her until she is about to cry in front of her friends she tries to leave making up an accuse to leave everyone. Sana runs away but Akito goes after and grabs her arm and they stop running Akito knows something is wrong and he can pick up on it if their is something wrong. But instead of him getting an answer she slaps him across the face and starts running again. But this time Akito doesn't follow her but goes back to his friends waiting at the restaurant. Eventually in the end they will tell eachother they are in love and they will end up together in the end. I the anime on episode 102 it leaves you at a cliff hanger saying Akito will confess to her after he has won his black karate belt. But In the manga a lot more happens with their relationship and the endings so much different if your going to watch this anime also I recommend to read the manga if you want to know what happens between Akito and Sana.
Characters- The main Characters of the story are Sana Kurata, Akito Hayama, Tsuyoshi Ohki, Aya Sugita, Rei Sagami, Misako Kurarta, and Naozumi Kamura.
Sana Kurata- Sana is a 11 year old actress (later turns 12 on March 7) for Komawari theater troupe Since she was five years old She stars in a show called child's toy and also does modeling, commercials, Acting. Sana is a down to earth, hyperactive, cheerful, short tempered, Fiecre, outgoing, and innocent. Sana also loves to sing and get her emotions out that way which is pretty cool that she can come up with I from her day at school
Akito Hayama- Akito in the first couple of episodes you see as being a trouble maker at school and gets away with it. The teachers can't stop him because he has something up his sleeve and the teachers are unable to stop him. Sana figures out away to stop what he is doing. Also Sana finds out something at his house hold and life style at home with Tsuyoshi's help she feels sad. But goes along with their plan anyway. Also Akito takes Karate lessons at her first he thought it as dumb that he was doing at first then he became to enjoy Karate and did on a daily basses. Akito is also a lone wolf because of his behavior after the black mailing stopped. Akito is laidback, pestimistic, sullen(In the beginning of the anime), delinquent, mature, intelligent. As the series progess is personality changes for the better he is less of a delinquent but still can be at times. Akito loves Sushi, Skiing and Sana. I have grown to like his character so much in kodocha I think Sana is lucky to have him in her life he cares and loves her o much that he won't give up. But he dates somebody to take his mind off of Sana but we realize even when he is with someone else he is still in love with Sana. This is why I love theses to together their opposites and they help eachother out of what they lack and work on it together, Akito is my favourite character.
Tsuyoshi Ohki- Is Akito's Best friend and rival for Sana's affections but later on Tsuyoshi starts liking someone else an they start going out with them right away. Has a younger sibling, is smart, soft spoken, gentle natured, Angry very easily. Also when some body gives him baked goods he automatically falls in love with them then eventually he will either give up or he will try to be with them.
Aya Sugita- Is Sana's best friend she is quite, shy, common sense, angry when jealous, and kind. Also she has liked this boy for a while in her class and he finds out about it and accepts to be his girlfriend.
Rei Sagami- Sana's Manger. Is Sana's first love but she just decides that they should stay as friends. Dislikes Akto (Gets Jealous when Akito makes moves on Sana, I'll just say he doesn't think Akito is right for Sana.) Before being Sana' manger he was a homeless person, a drop out college student, and his parents died early. But Sana brings him in to her house then eventually he becomes her manger for her career.
Misako Kurarta- Is Sana's mom is a wise person with a crazy side, is talented, Intelligent, Sarcastic. Also has a pet chip monk on her head named Morow.
Naozumi Kamura- Is a child actor, and has known Sana since their were babies but Sana doesn't know this to later. Naozumi began his acting career because of Sana he idolizes her and he got his dream to become a actor and see Sana again. Naozumi doesn't just idolize her he is in love with Sana but they only become best friends and nothing more (If it weren't for Akito being in Sana's life I would of liked these two, to be together but I still prefer Akito over Naozumi.) Also plays the trumpet when he gets angry it calms him down. Sana And Naozumi are very similar in what happened when they were babies years ago. (You'll have to find out.) Also Naozumi sacrifices his love for Sana so Akito and Sana can be together which is amazing for he did. Naozumi will always have Sana in his heart no matter what is Sana needs him he will gladly come to see her if she needs it. He continues on in his acting career and does another movie while Sana is taking a break from acting.
Kodocha is one of my favourite animes, that I can watch over many times and not get bored of it. I enjoy and Love watching it.
