First and foremost I saw this anime way back on 2006 that was the first episode and that made me crazy. Like holy mother of everything holy in the world. The first episode alone was like a drug that I needed to re-watch it over and over again.
Since the releases of the other OVA's were a little too far it made me crazy especially some of the OVA episodes took like a year or 2 to be released but it was all worth it( I think pulling my hair out).
If you want blood and gore with supernatural sliced from side to side this is it. You can actually see by the lack of a better term awesome character development and you sympathize on behalf of some of the characters due to their being human still inside.
You will meet a plethora of characters that you will idolize at some point due to their "bad assery" (I know made up right) no other words can describe it they are just that different.
The Plot is a What If? moment in time that occurs in Europe mostly England, Ireland and if I remember right Scotland.

I can't really say something bad about this series it is just that good. I still re-watch it from time to time since I have the english dub version which I dont know where I got it from but the voice action was superb. Its not the toonami one also but still sends shivers down my spine when Alucard or Anderson talk.
My recommendation? Watch it love it watch it again and share your love for it
