Koigokoro includes two chapters that continues Jun and Saki’s love story plus an entertaining extra. The art is the same as in the prequel: excellent character design but mainly outlined settings with a slight lack of detail.
Jun’s plans to live with Saki during summer vacation are interrupted when Jun’s uncle pays an unexpected visit. The reactions and emotions of both characters are heartfelt as they express disappointment. Thanks to new characters, the entire manga (including the extra) presents a test towards the couple’s ability to stay together by introducing unfamiliar elements of a relationship (e.g. trust) to Jun and Saki. It may start off disappointing, but it pleasantly ends on a positive note. Overall, if you enjoyed Jun and Saki's love story in the prequels, then Koigokoro is definitely worth the read.
