What is Chuunibyou About? You probably read the synopsis so there's no reason to explain that ofcourse! But to say in short what it's basically about to give you an idea. Growing up is a part of what every teenagers needs to do. Leaving your childish embarrassing ways behind and start an average normal teenage live. Well it didn't go exactly like that at all with our male protagonist Yuuta, bumping into contact with Rikka has made that "normal lifestyle dream" come to ruin. Just when yuuta wants to leave all his shameful things that he did behind, Rikka's behaviour reminds yuuta exactly how he was!
Genres? Comedy, Drama, Romance, School, Slice of Life... Each one of these fits very well with the Anime.
In regards to romance, the relationships grows as the show progresses. Season 2 of this anime is airing 9th of January if i'm not mistaken so for those who love romance and comedy, i'm sure season 2 would go even deeper in that. Don't worry, you'll be satisfied with the romance and comedy in season 1 :) nothing to worry about. This anime has pretty cute romance developing and it's very hilarious with the 8th grader syndrome in which Rikka and Dekomori both have. Their probably the main reasons why you're going to laugh allot :P
Drama? Personally in my opinion, a good romance must have a good drama that leads to character development. Or else it makes it boring. Not saying that romance without drama is immediately bad though. But you have an idea what i mean.
The Story Line is pretty much allright. Nothing much of a mystery or something to get you excited. Though it gives you an idea that Yuuta's everyday "normal" lifestyle will be changed by a girl with the name Rikka. What makes it awesome is the romance (for those who love romance), and pretty much surely the comedy obviously and the touch of serious drama in it.
To say in short, The anime is pretty much well balanced in regards to romance, comedy and drama.
It has it's flaws or in areas where it did not meet your expectations/satisfaction. However, this was a great enjoyable Anime.
Romance Lovers? Comedy Lovers? You'll enjoy this anime decently.
Characters: 9
Personally, each character helped in making the Anime entertaining and awesome. Kumin Tsuyuri (Girl who loves to sleep), Rikka and Sanae Dekomori (Rikka's underling lol) who both has the 8th grader syndrome, Nibutani (the popular girl in school) and our main protagonist who has the most funniest reaction when being reminded about his past self xD
