However I saw the light at the end of the tunnel. A small light with its so called intriguing plot.
STORY -4
What can I say? There was hardly any background information about the main character and we are just mysteriously thrown into a castle to start the show. (dont go in there...psst) Well, the first I dont know half or three quarter of the freaking show was about the poor heroine being sucked out of her blood for all of the sadistic brother's entertainment. How "sweet". IT AINT. ITS SO DISGUSTING THE WAY THEY TREAT HER AND OK...now the reason why there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Well I highly suggest not to watch this show unless you can withstand it or your just bored and wanted some horrible anime to watch so I'm just going to state it here. If you plan to watch skip this story section. The interesting part was really who our heroine was. It got me motivated to keep watching the show and how our casts so called began to be concern (im not joking. JUST) and how to get rid of this Cordelia (who is horrible too). I rather enjoyed the so called plot during the last few episodes. BUT THIS DOES NOT SAVE THE SHOW FROM ITS NASTY INTRODUCTION AND FOLLOWING EPISODES WHICH FELT LIKE A DECADE. I WAS OFTEN LEFT WITH "what?". I was hardly satisfied with the ending (worse ending with no one decided AT ALL) and I dont see a happy ending for her. At least the good part was what this whole thing about Yui got into.
ART -7
The art direction here is decent enough to get the job done. Nothing too flashy or to "wow" about. They also seem to like to blend white into the hair at the tip end where I have no reason why they did it but they did and eyes that can be seen through their hair. Animation is solid though and nothing felt weird at scenes (yes even the bite scenes...they did that better) . They used a lot of dark colours to bring out the eerie atmosphere which gets the job done.
SOUND -7
The sound is good but there was no noticeable tracks and it seems that all of the tracks prefers ochestra music except for the opening song. It gets its eerie atmosphere right and there really isn't much to say about it.
CHARACTER -1
This shows claim to be "shojou" but this wasn't. It was taken into such a sadistic world that you would feel pity for the heroine rather than supporting the male casts. The male casts are truly sadistic as they use Yui for their entertainment and blood source which was absolutely ridiculous. The whole three quarter of the show was like the whole male cast just sucking her blood and the plot just picks up towards the end. It is absolutely an insult to everyone to watch them just suck her blood while you can see that she is suffering and have problems but they just don't freaking care. Yui, our main heroine is rather empty. There is really no word to describe her except the fact that she is pathetic. She resists them for the first few episodes but she wants to stay with the male cast in the end?! EVEN THOUGH THEY TREATED HER SO BADLY?! Our male cast seem to enjoy torturing her every night and day just for her blood. Even Cordellia was such a horrible mother if you have read the spoilers in the character page of the male cast. No wonder. They don't even shed a bit of kindness towards our main character when she was clearly distressed about the truth and about herself and never help her when she needed the help towards the end. You would't root for one of them at all except for Ayato or Subaru who seems to be the only one to care for our heroine TOWARDS THE END. This show approaches the audiences in such a horrible and (excuse me) "bitchy" manner that you would feel disgusted with a cast they came up with.
ENJOYMENT -3
The story towards the end does not definitely save the show with its horrid introduction and episodes. It's only from episode 10 that the show had a plot. The rest of the show was just sadistic and horrible. From the cast to the story, IT WAS ALL HORRENDOUS EXCEPT FOR THE SOUND AND ART.
I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND U TO WATCH THIS SHOW JUST DONT UNLESS YOU GOT NOTHING TO DO. IM WARNING YOU.
