I think that game of rock-paper-scissors was dull, boring, how ever creator of series tried to defend it, it was still boring. I was about to quit it... but, after restricted rock-paper-scissors (RPS) things got intresting. (no, i wont tell what will happen)
After that, Kaiji really started, and it got my attention and i wasn't able to take my eyes off. Kaiji started to use fear and really psycholical (could someone tell me how to spell this word?) aspect on human mind, will you lose your some money or your life? Kaiji will push people to their limits, and you will see everything what human has to offer, trust, hate, betrayal.
I loved how narrator / Kaiji tells what they think, and most importantly what others think. It makes you think what you would do in that situation. I even kept my hands on my ears on certain point (You will find out what i mean :))
But what i hated, i hated those pointy faces, pointy noses, pointy noses. It was really hard to get used to style what animator uses, its plain awful, but you will used to it. Other thing is that you will feel is that it wont go anywhere, that it just stands still, but on next episode 10 hours has gone by.
For some reason, i like to watch people put their life on the line and hope that they will change after that expirience. (Prefer: Saw series)
After all, first half of serie is boring as HELL and makes you want to quit, but for some reason you will keep watching it... and after that it wakes up, like phoenix and goes on a journey from what you cant keep your eyes off.
You liked Akagi, well it sucks, watch Kaiji and you will just love it!
