What to think from it? On first episodes, we can get some good laughs from Hachiman's actions and "grumpy" personality, but the way it develops do quickly into something that makes us think he's some kind of perspective genius is what got me sticked near the screen until the very end.

{STORY - 9/10}

As a typical Junior High student, Hachiman always believed his "youth years" would be just like those japanese guys dream of: making a lot of new friends, finding the right girl, getting good grades, going well at sports, joining a club, that kind of stuff. However, a lot of previous disappointments and rejections turned him into a terribly cold, unsensitive person...

Being totally unable to relate to others and seeing the world in a quite unusual way made his teacher take a drastic measure: force him onto the Volunteer Service club, a place where Yukino would be responsible for his "social rehabilitation". Hachiman is tough and changing his conceptions about people and life itself won't be an easy matter...

{ART - 9/10}

Attractive and basic. Nothing too heavy or special. All characters are easily distinctive related to their appearance and a good background design is also present.

{SOUND - 8/10}

At first, both intro and ending songs may seem lame, but after 3 episodes, I got addicted... Both are sweet songs, not matching with the true purpose beneath this work. Still, they are so heartwarming and nice to hear... Also, I have an extra comment about the voice chosen for Hachiman. It just suits him so perfectly that I had to make from him, one of my favorite characters! Also because of his "honesty above all" unique attitude, of course...

{CHARACTERS - 10/10}

An wide cast of incredibly well developed characters makes from this one a true masterpiece. Starting off by Hachiman and his absolutely flawless perception and comprehension about reality. Eventhough everyone around him disgusts his unpleasant personality and tries to keep distance from all of his rough and sincere comments, he's able to stand still... He doesn't care anymore...

Yukino is just as cold as Hachiman. Despite that, both are distinct kinds of people. Being responsible and mature are her strongest personal qualities and the fact that she ignores futile and unnecessary matters just lets it clearer. Yui, kind and sweet, is the one that struggles for keeping everyone together, also giving some extra attention to Hachiman, as an attempt to soften him a bit.

{ENJOYMENT - 10/10}

Perfect! I could see myself a bit on Hachiman and his strong-willed mind really impressed me. Moreover, he has shown what he's capable of right next to the end, proving his incredible way of understanding anyone from deep inside their hearts... A skill like that is what bothers all of his classmates, but it's undeniably admirable...

{OVERALL - 9/10}

World is cruel, people are fake and reality is an obviously twisted thing. There will be the ones who always aim on getting affection, on being useful... Teenagers are full of delusions and some special figures are capable of leading them. Those who refuse are fated to isolation, against their own will on most cases... Hachiman chose being despicable. All by himself would mean no more pain and even award him with the ability of seeing through people and knowing their true selfs...
