First of all, before I begin, the manga for this blows the anime out of the water. I'd highly recommend it.

Rosario + Vampire is really just taking the characters from the manga, murdering the story, and creating a huge fanbase. That being said, the anime wasn't... Awful. The series is about Tsukune, a human boy who gets put in a Highschool for monsters/demons, and tries to fit in without being discovered. Seems interesting, no?

Lets talk about the positives first. The animation style is really amazing. It looks really smooth, and has a cutesy, happy feel to it. It makes you want to keep looking at it.

The music is actually really good. Both intros are really good, and the background music for the fight scenes, awkward scenes, and whatnot are all really fitting and really enjoyable to listen to.

That's it for the good, really. The plot isn't even there, it is clearly stated what's supposed to be going on (a human boy trying to fit in at a Highschool for monsters/demons) but it never progresses. It's mostly filler, every once in a while adding a new character, every one of which happens to fall in love instantly with the main protagonist for absolutely no reason.

The execution of the anime was miserable. That aside, it is enjoyable to watch for humor's sake. It's cute, funny, happy, and it's something mindless to pass the time with. However, if you're looking for a plot on the level of Clannad or something, you're going to want to pass on this one, as it definitely isn't for everyone.

If you do end up watching this, please read the manga too. It's MUCH better, and it still retains the silly, mindless feel of the anime.

Thanks for reading! c:
