Hellsing, an anime I've always wanted to watch since I was a kid. My brother used to watch Hellsing. One time I caught a glimpse of it, and got awfully hooked how action-packed it was. Well, since I was a "kid" that time, my brother who's the very definition of being an asshole didn't let me watch it. The reason was I was too young for it. Good thing he didn't, I'd probably puked all over the place if I've seen how bloody and gory Hellsing can be. I'm talking about the first series though. Well enough of my historical bullshit. Let's get on with my review.

I've never been into gory stuffs, my stomach quickly gives up when I see something that's not meant to be seen. But Hellsing is different; the blood, the gore, and flesh and bones being churned up didn't seem to bother me at all. I don't know why, all I know is that Alucard is one hell of a vampire. Alucard, who has a handgun with unlimited ammo in it. And who likes getting killed by his enemies before kicking their asses. He eats bullets for breakfast with his body, rather than dodging them. But who freaking cares about these flaws?! He's Alucard for God's sake!

If you've watched the previous hellsing, then you'll have an idea what's coming in the OVA. Its retelling some of what happened in the first series; but this time, its more detailed, slightly different and the art is obviously better than the previous one. It does tell how Alucard became that strong, a flashback scene on how he gets his insane mad skillz. Added characters for more fun. Of course, Alucard wouldn't be Alucard if it weren't for Anderson Silva! Oh wait... Wrong guy. I mean Father Anderson! Yeeep, the sick priest is still here. And plus, he has more air time here than the previous series! So more priest- wacko-time! Oh yeah, he has three students here too. And they all speak: AMEN!!!!!!

They've added a lot comical scenes in here which wasn't present with the previous one. Which I didn't mind, in fact, I liked it.

Another thing that piqued my attention when watching Hellsing, the background music. It was insanely epic! The music alone could envoy the feelings of what's happening. They've got different ending themes for every episode. And it was all good.

Blood, gore, action, drama, supernatural, seinen. It was all present here. Well, that's what you would expect from a true vampire series. Don't expect shining faggots here, nor a six-packed warewolf(although there is one here) who looks like a llama.

There's nothing much to say about Hellsing which has not been said yet. My review will probably end up as nothing, because it all contains praises. Well, what can I do? I'm just a commoner who was overly impressed how good Hellsing is.
