Story:6 (WARNING: If you can´t tolerate fanservice and gravitational boobs just don´t try watching this]
Well the zombies theme, it really isn´t a very creative theme as we all western viewers know. Zombies have been one of the most overused themes in western civilization not just in movies and tv shows they´re everywhere! But the anime that kinda had the first shot at this popular theme is HotD, now the producers had 2 options, the first one being to aim for a serious plot focusing on social crisis and how the world turns more and more into an anarchist society each time bringing human kind to the edge of extinction, or plan B focusing on a group of teenage girls wearing half “clothes” (yeah that shit can´t be called cloth), an Otaku that is really addicted to FPS games and our main hero/leader. Is a very average plot what can I say nothing amazing but gets the job done for the genre (don´t expect nothing amazing from the plot,). Boobs + zombies
Characters:6
We have pros and cons about the characters; we have our pretty generic characters the hot dumb chick, the fat otaku, the little girl, etc. But this is not all that bad, although characters were cliché I really liked the cast (except from the retard blonde teacher). But the good things of the cast were 3 characters Takashi, Saeko and Kouta they just make up to the best scenes in the show and without them HotD wouldn´t be worth watching.
Animation:8
We have some pretty solid animation and really colourful vibrant art style in this anime, but you really see its full potential in the action scenes they were just super fluid making these scenes. Also I have to give them props to invent new boobs gravitational movements, is like if the boobs in this show could be accepted to be protagonists in matrix! ==== moving aside all the jokes they did a very remarkable work with the animation is eye-catching and it really works for the anime.

First I will like to talk about the OP and ED´s, I found the opening to be really good showing some great action scenes with hot chicks always works! Talking about the ending, the good thing about it is that it had a variety of tracks in each episode some better than others but no one really stood out. Now the show didn´t had a lot of OSTs and I don´t think it needed them because this silent moments where the ones that built the suspension atmosphere in the anime, the only thing I can say about the soundtracks is that they had the job done.

Arguably I could be a little bit biased talking about HotD I´m a teenager I like girls, guns and badass action scenes! But apart from that I think Highschool of the Dead is one of those anime that can be finished in a few hours without knowing, is really enjoyable and that’s what it aims for.
So if you like action scenes, hot girls and war humbys I totally recommend you HotD !
