Summer Wars throws the audience for a wild ride through the main character Kenji Koiso who is a master mathematician who is also a moderator for Oz (similar to the internet but has way more info and risks) While doing his morning shift he gets asked by a fellow classmate Natuski Shinohara to help her for something which she is hiding from him until they get to there destination, upon arriving at there destination, Kenji finds out it's Natsuki's grandmas 90th birthday and she wanted her grandma to see she has a boyfriend catching Kenji by surprise, with a lot persuasion she finally agrees to be her fake boyfriend.

Out of the family drama, Kenji does a huge mistake as he cracks a numbered code sent to him via text, which was actually the code to hack into Oz, a lot of stuff have gone haywire in Japan as Oz controls such things like Water suppliers and emergency calls, but Kenji is being framed for it as it is his avatar the software is using otherwise known as Love Machine, it's up to Kenji and Natsuki's finally to sort this mess out with a lot of problems along the way.

The story is rather enjoyable it has a great blend and mixture of family drama and action in the world of Oz, the story keeps throwing twists and turns to keep the audience on there toes, but as the story progresses the fate of the world increases with danger, although it is enjoyable it starts off a little too fast with Natsuki grabbing Kenji to come with her, we didn't know the story between the characters it would have been better if the beginning was slowed down rather than rushed to get them to there destination, the story is very impressive other than rushed at the beginning.

The character is probably a let down of the movie, they barely got developed Natsuki didn't have much of importance until the climax and Kenji was just average but the Family is the amazing at how close they are with each other, it was an important moral to the story as well that Family will always be there to support you, the family really helped make this movie enjoyable, as they interact with one another but when a family comes to a crossroad you see where there both coming from, the grief of the family and the passion to succeed in the family.

The art is flawless especially in the world of Oz the fight scenes, character details and the amount of color in the characters were great.

The soundtrack is equally as good as the art with a great mixture of different pieces such as an joyous over the top song for the happiness of the family or an upbeat song to link with the action scenes.

Summer Wars is incredibly enjoyable, the story is gripping and provides a lot of interesting twists to keep the audiences attention, the character were a little on the ok side not great but the family is one of the most relateable families i have seen in an anime it's tackling predicaments families have to face but it captures the strong passion families have to succeed to challenges and the moral is Family will always have your back.

I would recommend anyone to watch Summer Wars.
