Pokemon the Origin tells the story of red the main character of the original games in his quest to be a Pokemon Master,The Pokemon League Champion and complete the fabled Pokedex as you can tell the plot is very similar to the original Red and Blue and thats because the story is a direct adaptation of the plot of the video games and honestly in terms of loyalty with the source Pokemon The Origin does an outstanding job with every important plot point and detail appearing in the anime in one way or another. Also compared o the original anime Pokemon The Origin has a much more deep and more engaging plot than the original anime not only that but also much more mature with some parts very very dark and parts that made me shed a tear...
However the anime has to major problems:
The first one is that because this is only a 4 episode special meaning that some parts like several gym leader battles and other battles had to be merely referenced because of lack of time :(
And the second problem is that this is a work for fans of the original game...
Because of this if you haven't played, seen our heard of the original Red and Blue our their remakes you wont have much of a reason to see this special and possibly don't enjoy as much as I have
But even so Pokemon The Origin is a fantastic and the the best Pokemon special out there and even thought many people wont like this special
fans of the original Red and Blue like myself (who btw beat that game over 25 times) will have a absolute blast of nostalgia and and euphoria
with this anime XD
