Good question my friend. Kick back and relax folks as I bring you a short n sweet spoiler free review of Chihayafuru. Ill shuffle first....
Story: 9
We follow our main characters Chihaya and Taichi as they recruit members for their newly established high school karuta club. In making new friends and the support of old companions Chihaya and the club have made their first steps to becoming the best high school in competitive karuta. This anime is bloody gorgeous hands down. The dialogue used between friends really gives you a sense of belief that these teenagers are in the springtime of their youth. Watching the karuta matches play out was invigorating. Don't know what karuta is? best to watch it and find out urself like many others did including me lol, more exciting.

The anime artwork is nice and pleasant to the eye. The character design
is crisp and great to look at. Some of the characters actually have lips which is good to see. You can watch in 1080p but I watched it in 720p resolution and thought it was fine.

A pleasant musical experience with excellent delivery brings a certain ambiance to the anime also showing connotations of fun, laughter, love, and youth. Kousuke Yamashita does a superb job at showing this through his music and also targeting specific scenes with musical accompaniment adding extra effect.

Great anime and a must watch, an overflow of fun, laughter, and good times. This genre is josei but men will enjoy this anime just as much as the ladies or perhaps even more, you never know. Time to pick up on my karuta skills, sore arm guaranteed.
