The Good: I must say, the animation and art is very nicely done. It has a very marketable look to it. There is nothing too unique about the character designs, but they are cleverly made to match the show. You like Pantene? Good, 'cause the characters all use it! The main soundtrack is so elegantly put together, that I could listen to it repeatedly, and not get bored of it.
For those of you who like to watch anime while slurping noodles, this anime may not be for you. The pacing is lightning fast, and things are explained in a way more complicated than things actually are. Also, there are countless fanservice shots that are quite distracting at times. Although, that seems to be a requirement for mecha series. Sometimes I just want to sit down, and mindlessly enjoy a "cliche" or "fun" show. Guilty Crown seems to give off that vibe at certain times, but also wants you to get invested into a serious story-line. All in all, it isn't about recommendations of this show, it's about what kind of show you're into. Because for most, Guilty Crown is a hit or miss.
