#note: contains SPOILERS.
In my opinion Guilty crown was just amazing. The art, story and especially the songs really got me watching this and I bet it could have beaten SAO, but it suffers from a few issues which critically decreased it's rank. I'll tell you why....
Story:
-Pro> Idea: brilliant Idea of how could be a heart shaped as weapon. Most set ups for the story was good. Choosing the time of the crisis, got many twists and sometime got me worried of what's happening.
>Emotion: This anime got me to many emotions: sad, happy, touched and etc. It has the touch to make the atmosphere changes.
>no leftovers: Well i could say that most of the characters there had their places and scenes. So you wouldnt see any focused character who suddenly disappear in the season
-Cons# plotholes: TOOOOO many plot holes, I dont know what had happened in the studio but the story board might be so rushed. I mean there could be a scene where they should put some character building scene but it mostl didnt happen. It was good that most of the characters goals are clear but i think knowing their past is also good see why they r in that position.
#Battle: I have to admit that the battle scene was great but still it was too short. Meaning the quality of the battle was great but the quantity was low for an action genre anime.
Art:
Great art, like the effect on the Void were very unique. The buildings and endlave and the virus effect were good.
Sound:
Love it, from the 1st till the last, especially "Departures". It also played a good role of making the atmosphere. The background sounds were well positioned.
Character:
Characters were fitted with the right personalities and were given good roles althou like i said before, most of their past is unclear.
Enjoyment:
I really enjoy getting through various of sensation. the romance of them was just epic and the confusion was just what is need to make that. Battle scenes were very enjoyable.
Overall:
Without the issues i mentioned maybe GC could have been up in the ranks with Fullmetal Alchemist and SAO but still this anime is great, very enjoyable, touching and very exciting. Just one part that i hate ---> the ending :/
