I was pretty skeptical about this at first, and I don't watch much anime that are "slice-of-life" either. The first episode didn't seem really interesting, other than the fact that it was about jellyfish. Just a bunch of middle-aged otakus, that were girls, but lacked a lot of femininity so I was kind of disappointed since I thought it would be boring. What I didn't really like was that it was lacking some romance. Also it felt like things really got started only during the last couple episodes because it's not just the romance bit, but also when the main character finally started to shine. But even so, it was a really enjoyable anime to watch.

I like how each character's personality is unique, both the otakus and the opposing party. There were parts with the character getting jealous that made me scream "kyaa!!" that really made me want to keep watching. Also not to mention I'm the type of person that usually likes to watch anime with reverse-harem, love triangles, and a lot of excitement, so I this this was something new to me. The art was good, and unlike what I wrote above, there were parts when all the characters could shine. Each of the main characters' backgrounds were narrated thoroughly, and I guess you could say after hearing them, jellyfish are a really big part of the story.

Generally, I really enjoyed this anime and I'm sure I will like the manga too :)

Note: if you feel discouraged after this review, since I don't really know how to write a good review, get your butt back to that website or whatever you do to watch anime, and watch Kuragehime because I will drag you there with my teeth if you refuse. :D
