I just finished watching this anime and I have to say I'm really glad I picked it up. I honestly didn't really know what to expect and I think that's what this show excels at. On the cover it really doesn't seem like much. I have seen a bunch of "demon king no yadadadadas" popping up recently and they haven't really gotten a good rep. I can say for sure though this is worth the watch. The humor is the best amount of simple (not entirely too stupid, but still has those classic anime gags you see). The action is good; there's nothing entirely groundbreaking or special about it, but it still looks nice. The characters are great and watching them interact is why the show is enjoyable.
I do have some more critical points I want to make. I personally didn't understand the reason for the school episode (Episode ). It seemed like a filler if anything ad they probably could have thought of something more creative and original. But I guess that's fiction for you.
Beyond that though I have nothing really terrible to say about the show. I wouldn't say it's one of the bests, but it's great and worth the watch for 13 episodes. This is originally a series of light novels, so be on the look out for a possible season 2 if you're a fan.
