For a typical harem like this, the story isn't all too interesting. Obviously for first timers, this would seem either fascinating or awkward, depending on your mood for ecchi romance. But how they develop the story is what I like. The beginning is a very unusual event, starting with the death of the main character. But he is reincarnated as a devil and assigned to a chess piece, receiving special abilities. He is now a slave working under a woman, a woman he begins to fall in love with. Through training and events, they develop feelings with each other. However, she had been previously engaged with another demon from a different clan. And she, having no interest in him from the beginning, is forced to succumb to his will after a battle between their clans. And as their engagement party takes place, the main character runs in to save his master and is given the decision to fight against him. Using smart tactics, being able to exploit weaknesses to demons, he defeated the "who was to be immortal" antagonist. And so lived a happily ever after.

Although the anime does not cover a whole lot on demonic abilities and what not, the art is great. They arent the average demons you would expect them to be. The power effects are pretty sweet. Of course, will power is what makes their power surpass their own limits. As for the characters, I've developed a fetish for radiant colors of long hairs on women. They fight in their school clothes, which is a little disappointing, but their demonic powers covers up for it. The only person who changes their clothes during fights is akeno himejime.

I havent paid too much attention on sounds and music other than the openings and endings. I find the opening particularly interesting because it sets a mood for action and romance. I'd personally think it's a great DDR or osu song. So definitely try it out
Characters- 9
This is a big plus for high school dxd. We learn the type of characters they are, and what special abilities are given to them. While the main character may be a pervert, the club respects his talents and develop a huge interest in him. Rias is smart, strong willed, and seductive to issei. Akeno is a sadist who also develops feelings towards issei, but allows rias to be with him since she is her superior and friend. Among the others is a pretty boy with great swordsmanship skills and a quiet, yet ridiculously strong little girl who also likes issei, although she hates him for being a huge pervert. I'm glad they were able to make a romantic comedy with these characters. It helps to lighten up the mood

While high school lacks creativity in story and a little overboard with ecchi, it still is a great romantic comedic action anime to watch. The characters are well done, and provide a great contribution to the development of the anime. To be honest, this anime is overrated, and that has to do with the ecchi in this anime. Naked boobs are shown as well as their bodies without revealing in between their legs, but that seems to be enough to attract lots of guys. Please take into consideration that I am not recommending this anime for its slight usage of pornography, but rather for the action and romance involved. This isn't the anime where'd u to "hey look, boobs" and start to watch. Sure, it can be entertaining. And I won't lie that I like seeing nude bodies. I just feel that this anime should receive more recognition for its character development and art.
