While one series stars a native American, and the other stars a black man. Both series are stories about the main character fighting in the name of their people and getting revenge against racist white men in a wild west setting. The style of the action scenes are very similar between the two, as well, and feature lots of blood and gore.

Taking place in 1880s America, both stories are about a discriminated race taking revenge on the people who killed their family. Blaster Knuckle is about killing demons whereas Red's antagonists are an army platoon.
