Both series are about a meek and downtrodden high school boy who is bullied and suffering emotionally until he begins to find purpose in street fighting. They both definitely work in the same vein, taking a very similar approach to essentially the same subject.

They are similar almost every aspect. The main character gets bullied and then decides to never run away again facing the darkness of the streets.
Both characters start out as weak, but then become strong.

pretty similar to holyland, MC was bullied and tried to commit stop living, after that he decide that it was enough and starts to fight back
