Both stories involves a bit cliche romance theme wherein the girl meets the boy and they fall in love. But don't underestimate both manga. The authors have this really unique skills in getting the readers ask for more and have these 'Feels Trip' while reading the manga. It wanna makes you feel nostalgic in teens love. Both manga will give you laughter and heartaches that makes you wanna hug each character.

They're both about a girl (who has her own complexities) trying to get through to a troubled, complex boy who isn't open about how he feels. They also deal with very similar friendship groups in which each cares about the others and does their best to help them through whatever troubles they might encounter. Most importantly though, both are beautifully told stories. That's in terms of artwork as well as general organisation. :)

Very similar artwork and feeling. The female protagonists are actually smart, and the characters seem realistic. Also, the two storylines share the same focus on "regret" and "lost love."

There's a distinct similarity between the two main female characters from both of these manga that I find easy to notice. In essence, the main girl is trying to get the attention of a boy from their past. And from that past, there were insecurities that she wishes to change and regrets she hopes to change. The storyline of Orange has plot twists and revelations. I also find the artwork to be similar that matches the style of their settings. If you're looking for shoujo manga with complex developments, then give these series a try.

although the story line is different, I found the main girls very similar, and the art is quite similar too. Both are very interesting stories and i think if you like one you will like the other

Yoshioka Futaba and Takamiya Naho have similar appearance and personality; Mabuchi Kou and Naruse Kakeru don't share their feelings. They suffer because of something that happened in the past and their friends try to help them. The characters have regrets in both stories; Both have a beautiful art (very similar) and exciting scenes.

Both of these manga have absolutely beautiful art and a storyline about girls in love with boys troubled because of family problems.

[spoiler] Orange and Ao Haru Ride is about a girl and a boys romance revolving around the girl trying to aide the boy as he is trying to cope with his mothers death. Orange focuses more on the mothers death , whereas Ao Haru Ride focuses more on the romantic aspect.

+ Female character who wants to discover what happend in her crush life. + Male character who is closed in himself and don't want to talk about his past. + Main characters also have group of supportive friends. + Both, Orange and Ao haru ride are concentrated at feelings, which are presented in very realistic way. +Both of them are shoujo with a lot of romance.

Be it a person who isn't there anymore (Orange), or a person who has changed drastically and only partly isn't there anymore (Ao Haru Ride) - they will definitely stir the emotions of their surroundings. In these two worlds, romantic feelings are a heavy burden to be borne by the heroines. They will discover that it is difficult to recover physical and emotional damage which has already been dealt, trying to repair it in Orange, or to build something completely new in Ao Haru Ride. Oh, precious youth!
