Apart from sharing an identical plot, these manga have many character similarities (Harima Kenji/Misao Zaitsu, Eri Sawachika/Kei Enomoto, Tenma Tsukamoto/Koyoi Bessho, etc), not to mention that in both manga the relationship chart is pretty intricate.
Both are highly enjoyable school comedies with plenty of love triangles and misunderstandings.
