Well, the comedy presented in both series are quite pleasant to watch for starters. Both focuses a lot on high school and the daily lives of the main characters.
Both series also has gags and a lot of drama that are contained in stand alone episodes.
Both series are entertaining to watch for those more into comedy rather than a serious plot.
Both are extremely funny high school slice of life anime without an overarching plot.

The humor is similar and the fact that both shows have 3 main protagonists that go through many funny situations in their life
