Both revolve around high school characters trying to achieve their dreams and both contain romance between multiple couples. While Bakuman is more focused around achieving the dream of the characters, Sakurasou focuses more on the romantic aspects of the character relationships. Both are excellent "coming of age" shows.

The relation between deciding on what you want to do with your life and how you are going to do it, plus the romance aspect, I think these anime fit quite hand in hand together.

Both are about writing and drawing manga. Both show the struggles of getting a game or manga serialized. While Sakurasou is about a successful manga artist, but it is also about a man trying to get a game programmed and shows the struggles and the amount of time and effort it takes to get that serialized. While, Bakuman is about trying to get a manga serialized. Both are worth a watch.

These series start with the protagonist not knowing what to do with his life and finding their objectives thanks to another person, from there we follow them in both their fun moments with the lovable characters that surround them, romantic elements included, and the constant and realistic struggles to achieve the dreams they work hard for.
