Both series have a tense relationships between sexes. In Skip Beat! it's Tsuruga Ren and Mogami Kyoko and in Kaichou wa Maid-sama! it's Usui Takumi and Ayuzawa Misaki. Girls in both series are trying to reach their goal no matter what, have a strong attitude and dedicated to their job. Although girls look very similarly and guys are always silently support those girls they love.

Strong female character in a leading-role (xD) Things are inverted though: Ayusawa, the strong and cold female president of the student council, succumbs to Takumi's "pheromones" in Kaichou wa Maid-sama, However, in Skip Beat!, your demanding and perfectionist biseinen actor Tsuruga is who ends up being attracted by Mogami's personality Both are enjoyable comedy shows

Both series are very amusing and funny. They both deal with the life of a female protagonist. The main characters Misaki and Mogami are both willful and determined girls who can take care of themselves.

Both main female characters have a strong personality and chibi forms are similar.

Both have a fiery, hardworking female protagonist who are trying to accomplish a goal, while combating the day-to-day challenges that pop up. Both have their bishounen characters there to tease the girl and create a love interest while the heroine holds little or nothing for love, or even betrayals of some kind by the opposite sex. And both are Romantic Comedies with a wide variety of characters & events, and two heroines that arent afraid to get their hands dirty and kick some ass. It's just that one takes place in school mainly, and the other in lots of places.

Both romance, interesting and energetic. Kaichou Wa Maid-Sama is about the main guy finding out the main girl's secret. Both animes are comedy. I love them both C:

Kaichou wa Maid-sama and Skip Beat are very similar anime. There similar genre are comedy, romance, and shoujo. In these two series, there is a love triangle between two guys and one girl. Unlike Kaichou wa Maid-sama, Skip Beat doesn't take place in a school. Instead it setting revolves around acting in movies, television shows, and commercials. Although the settings are different, the protagonist are similar. The female protagonist for each one of these series are both aggressive characters who are very dense when romantic moments occur. The male protagonist are both adored by other women, and very confident, a little cocky, and somewhat over protective. Personally, I liked Kaichou   read more

What are they about? Take a strong-willed main female character testing the line between love and hate as she struggles to fight for what she believes in and wrap that with comedy and colorful animation (better in skip beat than maid-sama... Those backgrounds god) Kaichou wa Maid-sama happens in a school-life type of scenario and Skip Beat in the Entertainment industry.

I can't say that this is exactly the same as skip beat!, It does resemble the same lesson learned, which is learning to love, when you lost trust in someone or even yourself, It's not as romantic (sorry to the people who are looking for romantic series similar to Kaichou wa maid sama.) but you will soon begin to fall in love with the characters just like in Kaichou wa maid sama.

They are both refreshing shows with strong, captivating heroines. Skip Beat has an imminent amount of comedy, which makes you grin from ear to ear. The characters will enthrall you and the series will make you laugh and...laugh! It has a little romance too, so you will have the best of both words. This anime is truly a COMEDY-ROMANCE (This is on purpose). So give it a chance and watch this series, you won't regret it!

Both have a strong female protagonist and a similar sense of humor throughout the series. Even though Kaichou wa Maid-sama! is more focused on romance you get the same warm feeling when watching both. You just love them.

Despite their premise being very different, there is an inexplicable similarity of the two. The animation feels the same and main characters strong personalities are similar. They are both hilarious and have strong themes of romance between characters. Give them both a go if you haven't already.
