Besides airing close together and both having beautiful animation, they're also sci-fi/fantasy action series set in the future and music plays a major role in their stories.

Recommending this because both the stories are about Music and helping out the world with the help of music. Two beautiful girls with similar personalities being in the lead is also a big similarity. Overall, if you want some stunning visuals, check either one of them. Done by some of the biggest powerhouses in the animation industry.

Both shows revolve around the theme of saving the humanity's destiny by music, as well as using it as a weapon against some kind of enemies (in Vivy it's androids and humans; in Takt it's aliens).
