Three words for the viewer: what the hell.
Both involve sci-fi, mecha, and gore, have a crazy, barely understandable story, very little character development, and a cast composed (almost) only by females. Both even have recycled music (even though MOD is explicit and constant in doing so, and Ice uses a famous melody only during one scene). While MOD makes no sense at all and yet is hilarious, Ice is confusing and messy from the first to the last episode, which may cause you an unfunny headache.
