the atmosphere in the 6min ona is the same as serial experiments lain.
A strange atmosphere that's not realistic to find "Who they are"
Very similar atmosphere.
Discordant sounds and movements to evoke a sense of unease. Lain is a full series though and also has a plot beyond the artist value.
- Both have a damp color scheme bordering black/white
- Both have a very similar emotional tone, a mix of loneliness, confusion, dissociation, depresssion, and wonder. It's just hard to describe.
- Lain is TV series, and Kikumana could be a litmus test before you pick it up. If you already hate Kikumana from the heart, you will not like Lain either.
- Both have surreal imagery
- Both star an isolated girl.
